Add Yours →Inspired by your photograph
and as an entry into an Allpoetry contest held by ea
here's my poem:
Rich coffee smudge
on a mug of porcelain
Rest for the photographer
camera clue in the background
Usually neat as a pin
no sugar crystals astray
Did you catch your best shot
or raptured by aroma – she got away?
Setting down her hat of khaki
tapping a painted nail on her hot cup
She's been watching you too
and the Joe that you sup
Tailing the trail with a snap or a pen
an offering to the rag
with a spin and a grin
